About Us.......
In 1994, Breeze Hill Farm was born from a desire to create high quality natural Virginia wool products. With a handful of Border Leicester and Romney sheep our farm began.
For several years, through a very careful breeding program, we grew our flock to a point of producing some of the highest quality fiber in the area. At the same time we were offering Spinning and Knitting classes, doing speaking engagements and demonstrations in an effort to get the word out about the benefit of working with and using natural fibers.
2002 brought our Dairy goats and fiber goats to the farm. The plan, once again through a very careful breeding program, was to offer high quality, all natural goats milk products as well as cross breeding our dairy does to our Angora buck to produce a goat that would produce high volumes of milk and wonderful fiber. We succeeded! Some people call their fiber Cashgora, some call them mutts..we call their fiber exquisite and them our babies.
Free range chickens have always been part of our farm. We've tried to raise as many heritage breeds as possible and enjoy adding newer breeds. Also, there are a few ducks and geese roaming the property. Earlier this year we added our first covey of Quail. All of our birds have a job. They make lots of great, healthy eggs, fertilize the pastures and keep the bug population under control.
Keeping everything and everyone under control at the farm are our wonderfully Border Collies.
We have worked very hard through the years to make our farm as sustainable as possible. A place where animals are humanely cared for, grazing lush green pastures and being feed the best quality feeds available. A business producing high quality products that are natural and easy to use and enjoy. The work we have done shows in everything that is Breeze Hill Farm.
